Kasas Teknoloji manufactures semi automatic packaging systems to project, covering the sequence from dosing and forming through to filling and bagging. The build is modular: weighing, forming and filling modules are combined according to plant capacity, product behaviour and the layout already in place. Operator-controlled running keeps changeovers quick and maintenance demand low. Bodywork is available in stainless steel (304/316) or coated carbon steel, with stainless used on food-contact surfaces. Installation, commissioning and operator training are handled turnkey. In a vertical form fill seal setup the product is fed by a linear multihead weigher, so weighing and filling close in the same cycle. Throughput and pack format are engineered to the request.

A semi automatic packaging machine splits the production flow into consecutive modules and runs each of them under operator supervision. The sequence normally opens with dosing: product is separated into the target portion weight. On dough-based products such as biscuits, forming follows, where a mould or cutting unit gives the piece its shape. With granular and powdered products the dosed charge passes straight to the filling station. In a vertical form fill seal machine the film reel is drawn over a forming shoulder into a tube, the longitudinal seal is made, and the lower jaw closes. A linear multihead weigher selects the bucket combination closest to the target weight and drops the product down the forming tube, while the jaw seals and cuts the bag in the same stroke. A horizontal packaging machine instead wraps the product along the direction of travel and separates each pack with end seals after the lap seam. The difference from a fully automatic line is that feeding and format changeover stay with the operator, which keeps mid-volume production flexible. Synchronisation between feed and fill is what limits weight deviation.

On a semi automatic system the operator handles feeding, format changeover and cycle start, whereas a fully automatic line manages those steps itself. The semi automatic arrangement works better where product variety changes often and volumes are mid-range. It also gives a simpler structure to invest in and to maintain over time.
Which products can a packaging machine handle?
Granular and powdered foods such as spices, salt, nuts and dried fruit, plus bakery goods and biscuits, portioned ready foods, sandwiches, fresh produce like mushrooms, and ice packaging applications. How is dosing accuracy achieved?
Accuracy comes from synchronisation between feeding and filling. A linear multihead weigher picks the bucket combination closest to the target weight before releasing the charge, which narrows deviation. Flowability, particle size and moisture all affect the result, so the weigher and feed unit are engineered around the specific product to be packed.
Can it be integrated into my existing line?
Yes. Because the systems are built modularly, they are designed to run alongside conveyors, feeders and weighing equipment already installed. Line layout, inlet and outlet levels and available floor dimensions are reviewed at project stage. Where useful, only the missing module such as dosing or filling is added to complete the line.
